Gold fever came to me later in life, since nobody ever spoke of natural gold sources where I grew up in New England. Like many others, I had seen the new “gold shows” on television, but had never panned before. I soon discovered that there were gold-bearing streams in New Hampshire and the journey began.

What an adventure... Kick in the four wheel drive. I soon learned that gold was not easy to get and that hard work was invloved. This did not stop me. Eventually, I would travel seven U.S. states in my quest for that precious yellow metal, from Maine to California.  While In Vermont, I saw nuggets dug up ten feet from where I was prospecting. This kept me going and the fever brewed within me.
